As I sit here writing this, I am waiting for my plane to take me back to reality. We spent the past few days in Napa/Sonoma for a whirl-wind wine-tasting weekend and it was glorious!
One of my favorite things to do on any trip is pick up a cookbook from a local restaurant (preferably one at which we dined), or one that features a dish that we tried during our stay. On this trip, I picked up the Bouchon cookbook (well, actually we ordered it from Amazon) after our stop for sweets before dinner at Ad Hoc (also a cookbook I own).
The only trouble is that I have no idea where I am going to put this cookbook once it arrives. I currently don’t have a very good cookbook organization or display system. They just sit on a shelf next to my desk where they get piled up and piled on. I rarely use them because they are a bit hard to access even though they are two feet from my desk.
Adding this new book to my collection has inspired me to do something to change all that! I have scoured the internet for inspiration for how to organize cookbooks. And not just organize them, but display them! Since a lot of these cookbooks are travel souvenirs or gifts, I like the idea of having them out so I can see them.
I am actually looking forward to getting home so I can go through my cookbooks and figure out the best way to organize them! Here are the nine top contenders:
Cookbooks Organized by Color
Cookbooks Displayed on the Counter
Cookbooks Displayed on the Wall
